› Gasparilla Festival of the Arts returns to Tampa. Here’s what to know
If you’re looking for something to do that combines culture and the outdoors, the Gasparilla Festival of the Arts is the hot ticket this weekend. The acclaimed art festival that draws award-winning artists from throughout the country is happening March 4-5 at Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park along the Hillsborough River in downtown Tampa.

› Brightline poised to set Florida train speed record on tracks to Orlando’s airport
A remarkable spurt of history may occur as soon as this week as Brightline trains begin test runs across east Orange County at speeds of up to 125 mph. The private Miami passenger rail company thinks that will be the fastest a set of locomotives and coach cars has ever traveled in the Sunshine State. That speed, gulping down 2.08 miles per minute, or way faster than the legal limit on the adjoining Beachline Expressway, will be the norm when service of a little more than three hours begins later this year from Miami to Orlando International Airport.

More housing for millionaires is planned for Miami’s tony Brickell section, after a developer scooped up the last sliver of open land along the financial district’s main corridor for $6 million. Menesse International, originally from Mexico, Wednesday acquired the tract that’s less than an acre at 1870 Brickell Ave. from the Carlos Saenz family trust, said Mariano Borges, founder and CEO of Menesse.

› Top prize-winning Florida Lottery ticket about to expire
Check your tickets! An unclaimed top prize-winning Fantasy 5 lottery ticket is about to expire. The winning Fantasy 5 ticket, worth $186,000, was sold for the Sept. 16, 2022, drawing. The winning numbers in that drawing were: 03 – 14 – 15 – 16 – 34. According to the Florida Lottery, the deadline to claim the prize is Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at midnight.
