› Busch Gardens Tampa Bay all jazzed up for Mardi Gras celebration
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay shared new details Monday about its upcoming Mardi Gras celebration which kicks off on Jan. 16. Happening on select dates, guests will have the opportunity to hear music, catch some beads from physically distant New Orleans street performers, and try some delicious Louisiana-style Cajun cuisine.
› State Attorney’s Office launches data dashboard
Fourth Judicial Circuit State Attorney Melissa Nelson announced Dec. 29 the launch of a public data dashboard to improve transparency, build community trust and bring a more data-driven approach to prosecution. “Improving transparency and trust in the prosecutor’s office were goals we set when we began this work,” Nelson said in a news release.

› Disney offer: Florida residents get 4 theme-park days for $199
Walt Disney World is bringing back a discount ticket deal for Floridians. The offer — dubbed Florida Resident Discover Disney Ticket — includes four theme parks for $199. Admission is good through June 18, although there are block-out dates around holidays and a longer stretch from late March through mid-April. This ticket includes one park per day, although the deal with a park-hopper option sells for $241.50.
