› Publix Ranked No. 1 on PEOPLE's 50 Companies that Care List
Publix has been recognized as the No. 1 company that cares by PEOPLE. The fourth annual list will be featured in the Sept. 14, 2020, issue of PEOPLE magazine, which will be on newsstands nationwide Sept. 4. The list highlights the top U.S. companies that have succeeded in business while demonstrating outstanding respect, care and concern for their employees, their communities and the environment, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

› Some cyberattacks on Miami’s virtual school system from outside U.S., Carvalho says
The Miami-Dade County school district has announced that it got hit with 12 cyberattacks Wednesday morning, some of which are from outside of the United States. Some of the attacks were local. The attacks, revealed at Wednesday’s School Board committee meeting, occurred from 8:19 a.m. to 10:59 a.m.

› 2020 Tortuga Music Festival canceled, with focus now on 2021
The 2020 Tortuga Music Festival in Fort Lauderdale on Oct. 2-4 has officially been canceled, another victim of the disease and dysfunction that will fascinate historians for generations. The next edition of the popular country-music beach party is now slated to take place Nov. 12-14, 2021.

› Real estate brokerage expands to Orlando region with merger
Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, one of the largest residential real estate brokerages in the region, has merged with Regal Real Estate Professionals, a luxury brokerage in Central Florida. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
