› Citrus County board adopts economic plan
At their meeting Monday, commissioners unanimously approved the Citrus County STEP report, or Strategy Toward Economic Progress. That includes the adoption of a strategic plan and direction of staff to move forward with an economic development business plan.

› Orlando's craft beer scene shows no signs of going flat
Despite a nationwide slowdown in the growth of craft brewery sales and a big jump in failures, the Orlando area is still adding new ones and is on pace to have more than 30 such businesses by this fall.

› California start-up wades into Florida storm insurance
An up-and-coming insurance company based in California is looking to grow within the catastrophe market of another state. Assured Risk Cover (ARC) in Pleasanton, CA has plans to expand its business in Florida through its parametric insurance product, StormPeace.

› Tampa-based property management app Homee gets $11 million investment
Property maintenance platform Homee has closed on an $11 million investment to expand its vendor network and launch new markets, the Tampa-based company announced Tuesday. Financing was led by tech investor Activate Capital Partners and The Home Depot.
