Florida added 184 banking offices in 2005, up from the 165 in 2004. Miami drew 46 new branches. Tampa was close behind, with 44, Orlando, 27, and Jacksonville, 19. Southwest Florida, meanwhile, is flush with cash. Tampa Bay and the Sarasota region were among the largest deposit markets in 2005, according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
