Beach Access for Wheelchairs

Several Florida beach cities have already purchased Mobi-Mats.

Floridians and visitors who use crutches, canes and wheelchairs can’t always enjoy the state’s beautiful beaches as much as everyone else. Getting around on the sand is too difficult. So several Florida beach communities, including Fort Myers Beach, Miami Beach and Venice have installed Mobi-Mat, a lightweight, portable rollout pathway made by New Jersey-based Deschamps Mat Systems. Hollywood and a number of other Florida locales are in discussions with the company, says Mobi-Mat’s Florida sales representative, Jeff Olson.
