Research Funding Fall at UF
University of Florida research funding fell $21.5 million to $561.5 million this year. Over the past decade, the university had one of the fastest-growing research enterprises in the nation. UF officials say government funding shrank slightly due to the economy and UF’s reduction in new faculty hires. But they reported a double-digit increase in research support from industry and foundations.
