H. Douglas Lee
Less than three months after retiring from the presidency of Stetson University in DeLand, H. Douglas “Doug” Lee died Aug. 25 of complications from surgery. He was known for transforming the campus during his 22-year presidency, incorporating into its mission diversity and inclusion, social responsibility and environmental sustainability, as well as high academic standards [“Innovation,” January 2004, FloridaTrend.com]. Lee was 66.

Bruce Rossmeyer
Ormond Beach Harley-Davidson dealer Bruce Rossmeyer, who created the Destination Daytona biker tourist haven along Interstate 95, died in a motorcycle accident July 30 in Wyoming. He was 66.
