That’s why the Florida International University graduates decided to team up using their degrees in marketing and public relations to open up a boutique in Aventura called Gg.
› Orlando airport to require contracts before giving money to nonprofits
The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority indicated Wednesday that it will seek signed contracts from now on for money it gives to nonprofits such as the Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce.
The authority has given money to civic groups without a written agreement, including the chamber and some of its related groups.
That can lead to misunderstandings, said authority board member Frank Kruppenbacher.

State mulls legal action against First Coast black loan program
The state is considering legal action against a First Coast organization that received $1.1 million in taxpayer money since 2007 to provide loans to black businesses.

County Attorney Robert Cuevas concluded that the new state law regarding businesses linked to Cuba conflicts with federal law and should be “inoperative” in Miami-Dade.
› North Florida website launches nonprofit link-ups
The Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida has launched a new website to help area nonprofits promote what they do, collaborate with each other and map resources and needs in a five-county area.
They can also use thenonprofitlink.org as a place to seek and offer donations of everything from soccer balls to meeting space.
