› Brevard Zoo releases endangered green sea turtle treated with novel 'electrochemotherapy'
"Roadhouse" was once riddled with tumors but now no longer likely has the blues. After 11 months of rehab at Brevard Zoo, the so-named sea turtle continues on its road to recovery, tumor-free after an innovative new treatment for a potentially deadly viral disease called fibropapillomatosis. Brevard Zoo staff released the endangered green sea turtle Wednesday at James H. Nance Park in Indialantic.

› Oldest Black fraternity pulls out of Florida convention due to African American history standards
A prominent national Black fraternity has pulled its yearly convention out of Florida, following uproar over the state’s new African American history standards for K-12 students. The decision came after the state recently revealed its new African American history standards which includes teaching that slavery was beneficial to some of the enslaved. It follows a decision earlier this year by DeSantis to ban an AP African American History course.

› Everglades Foundation pushing for hundreds of millions from Congress
A team from the Everglades Foundation and other environmental activists wrapped up a three-day tour of areas impacted by Everglades restoration on Wednesday. “We’re seeing algae today in Fort Myers and Cape Coral. But as [Lake Okeechobee] rises, if there are discharges, the lake is polluted, and if the water goes west, we may see increased algae,” said Eric Eikenberg, CEO of the Everglades Foundation.

› Coworking giant opens new Miami-Dade location
The parent company of Regus recently opened a new coworking operation near North Miami. IWG, plc (LSE: IWG) established a 21,570-square-foot location in the 11900 Biscayne Boulevard building. The cowork branch, which operates under IWG's high-end Spaces brand, opened in June and fills 11900 Biscayne's entire fourth floor.
