› Miami Book Fair is returning for 2022. Here’s who is coming — and how to get tickets
Miami Book Fair is getting back to normal. After a virtual-only fair in 2020 and a scaled-down fair in 2021, Miami’s annual literary festival is settling back to its roots in its 39th year, and tickets are on sale now. There will still be virtual events for out-of-towners who can’t make it to South Florida. But 2022 is all about the in-person events.

› FRLA launches initiative to aid hospitality industry following Hurricane Ian
The Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (FRLA) unveiled a new initiative on Tuesday to help the hospitality industry and its employees recover from Hurricane Ian. According to a news release, the initiative will provide economic relief for Florida’s independent restaurants and lodging establishments, as well as for their employees who have a financial burden as a result of the impact of Hurricane Ian.

› Andrea Bocelli is coming to Tampa’s Amalie Arena in February
During the most romantic month of the year, Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli returns to the U.S. for his Valentine’s Tour. He makes a stop at Tampa’s Amalie Arena on Feb. 16, 2023. Tickets go on sale Oct. 31. Presented by the David A. Straz Jr. Center for the Performing Arts, the concert will feature members of the Opera Tampa Chorus. Fans can expect an evening of arias, crossover hits and popular love songs.

› Home furnishings retailer to open first Florida location in Sarasota
Florida's first Homesense store is expected to open in Sarasota — just in time for Black Friday shopping. The home furnishings retailer is opening a location in the University Town Center in Sarasota on Nov. 10 occupying a 30,000-square-foot store in the West District at UTC. Homesense is one of the brands under the TJX Companies, which also includes TJMaxx, HomeGoods and Marshalls.
