› 2022 Palm Beach Food and Wine Festival tickets are selling out fast — find out why
Momentum is strong for this year’s Palm Beach Food and Wine Festival, with tickets for multiple events rapidly selling out as they became available last week. Returning for its 15th year, from Dec. 8 to 11, Palm Beach County’s biggest culinary feast is touting a raft of new celebrity faces and restaurant spaces. Already at capacity are nine of its 24 intimate dinners, wine tastings and cooking demonstrations by marquee chefs used to the glare of Food Network and Bravo TV stardom, such as Daniel Boulud, Robert Irvine, Jeremy Ford, Marc Murphy and Maneet Chauhan.

› Miami to seek proposals for large Allapattah complex
In 2019, Miami was eyeing 18 acres it owns in Allapattah for private development. Now an unsolicited proposal for development of the city’s General Services lot on Northwest 20th Street is triggering a request for proposals for a large mixed-use development including 2,500 housing units, a hotel and office space.

› Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg announces interim executive director
Just a few weeks after executive director and CEO Kristen A. Shepherd’s resignation, The Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg announced Tuesday that Anne-Marie Russell is the interim executive director. Russell was formerly the executive director of Architecture Sarasota, an organization which “stewards the legacy of the Sarasota School of Architecture and provides a forum for the education, advocacy and celebration of good design in the global built environment,” according to its website.

› Jacksonville City Council pulls attempt to legalize 'simulated gambling' at adult arcades
The no-name business in a strip shopping center off Normandy Boulevard had something to hide behind plate glass windows covered top to bottom by sheets of black material. On the other side of the windows, inspection photos provided by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office to the city's code compliance division showed "simulated gambling devices and arcade machines," according to a case summary report.
