When Lisa Almeida spent years working in corporate America, she never dreamed that she could find a way to combine her marketing skills with her love of boating.
In 2009, she did just that. But just four weeks after she became sales and general manager at Freedom Boat Club, officials from the corporate office came to visit her with every intention of firing her for not immediately turning around the struggling boat club location at Julington Creek Marina.
