› What can Keys do about COVID-19 rate? Possibly ‘live with the virus,’ health chief says
Monroe County officials said Monday that they may soon have to make difficult, yet unspecified, decisions as cases of COVID-19 continue to surge in the Florida Keys. However, the county’s top health official said there may not be much more that can be done to stop the virus from spreading though the island chain, especially since cases are also spiking in Miami-Dade County.

› Florida Museum of Natural History reopens
If you’re looking for something to do, a local museum is reopening up their doors. The Florida Museum of Natural History is welcoming visitors after they reopened on Friday under the guidance of UF Health. Most exhibits such as the butterfly rainforest and the fossil plan garden are open. Masks are required for everyone over the age of 2-years-old.

› Orlando police chief says agency has banned choke holds, no-knock warrants
The Orlando Police Department has banned the use of choke holds and no-knock warrants, Chief Orlando Rolón told the City Council on Monday morning, amid ongoing demands from activists across the country for police reforms to address racial injustice and excessive force.

› Lawsuit challenges Jacksonville mask requirement
A Jacksonville man is suing to overturn the city’s requirement for people to wear face masks in public to prevent spread of the coronavirus. The lawsuit filed for Jason French, owner of French Capital Management in Mandarin, argues the proclamation Mayor Lenny Curry issued June 29 violates the privacy and due process clauses of Florida’s constitution.
