› Invisible Fence of Florida Expands Services into Gulf Coast to Support More Pet Owners
Earlier this month Invisible Fence® Brand, pioneer of the pet containment industry, announced Invisible Fence of Florida is growing their service area into the Gulf Coast, including Manatee, Sarasota and Charlotte counties. Invisible Fence of Florida will continue to serve their current territories in Tampa, West Palm Beach and Miami as they expand their footprint further into Southern Florida.

› Clay Electric gives customers break on April bills, cites ‘hardship’
Clay Electric Cooperative customers, many of whom are facing financial struggles because of the coronavirus pandemic, will receive lower-than-expected April power bills thanks to decreasing natural gas costs. The one-time decrease of 25 percent will produce an average of $30 in savings, according to the utility.

› Prominent trial attorney switches firms
Prominent Southwest Florida trial and defense attorney Jerry Olivo III has joined a new firm: Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt P.A Olivo, formerly with Wilbur Smith Attorneys at Law, joins the Fort Myers-based firm’s tort and insurance litigation department, according to a statement.

› Orlando lawmaker calls for special session to fix jobless claims system
As problems with Florida’s unemployment system continue to drag on, leaving thousands laid off due to the coronavirus response to wait on benefits, an Orlando lawmaker on Wednesday called for a special session to fix it. Sen. Randolph Bracy sent a letter Wednesday to House Speaker Jose Oliva, R-Miami Lakes, and Senate President Bill Galvano, R-Bradenton, asking them to call a special session “at the earliest convenience.”
