Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints Two to the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind Board of Trustees
Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointments of Matthew Kramer and Pamela Siguler to the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind Board of Trustees.
Matthew Kramer
Kramer, of St. Augustine, is an executive therapeutic specialist with Gilead Science, a pharmaceutical sales company. Previously, he was a territory specialist with Trans 1, a medical device sales company. Kramer and his wife are board members at Growing Together Behavioral Center, a school for children with autism and developmental disabilities in Jacksonville. He and his wife are parents of deaf, blind and hard-of-hearing children. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Grove City College in Pennsylvania. Kramer is appointed to a four-year term.
Pamela Siguler
Siguler, of Ponte Vedra Beach, is a retired educator who taught deaf and blind students at schools in both Massachusetts and Virginia. She has served as a board member of the Boston College Council for Women since 2017. She has also been involved with Teach for America Jacksonville and is a former board member of The Museum of Contemporary Art in Jacksonville. She earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education and her master’s degree in deaf/blind multi-handicapped education from Boston College. Siguler is appointed to a four-year term.
These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
