Congressman Ted Yoho Announces Additional $12M in FEMA Grants for Ocala, Marion and Clay Counties

| 7/31/2019

Gainesville, FL – Congressman Ted S. Yoho (R-FL), applauded today’s announcement that Marion County will receive more than $10.2 million in debris removal reimbursement stemming from Hurricane Irma. In Clay County, FEMA awarded more than $1.9 million for debris removal reimbursement and in Ocala, more than $1.6 million will be distributed for additional debris removal.

Today’s announcement marks more than $26 million in FEMA grants for Florida’s 3rd Congressional District in the month of July.

Congressman Ted Yoho issued the following statement:

“In the month of July, we have seen more incredible movement of funds on Irma funding and it couldn’t come at a better time. As we find ourselves in Hurricane season, we must not only prepare for future events but rebuild from previous disasters. It is a tough position for our communities both financially and in terms of having infrastructure in place for these major disasters. I am grateful for the cooperative relationship with FEMA and the State and thank them for their continued attention to these overdue funds.”

Upon obligation of funds, FEMA delivers funds for these projects directly to the State.
