Tallahassee, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis, Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nuñez and Space Florida President and CEO Frank DiBello congratulated OneWeb Satellites on the opening of a high-volume, high-speed advanced satellite production facility in Exploration Park, Florida. This new facility is positioned to establish transformative internet connectivity and make technology more accessible.

“The opening of OneWeb Satellites’ manufacturing facility at the Cape Canaveral Spaceport follows a momentous celebration – the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission,” said Governor DeSantis. “Apollo 11 left a legacy on the aerospace industry and the state of Florida and inspired generations. OneWeb Satellites’ new production facility builds on that legacy and broadens the next era of space exploration and commerce in our state.”

“OneWeb Satellites is dramatically revolutionizing internet and space technology like never before,” said Lt. Governor Jeanette Nuñez. “This new Space Coast facility will further push our state into the high-tech communications field and advance job opportunities for our residents. We look forward to making history in the exciting space industry.”

“Today, Space Florida congratulates OneWeb Satellites on the official opening of its high-volume satellite production facility here in Exploration Park,” said Space Florida President and CEO Frank DiBello. “The increasing commercial capabilities of the Cape Canaveral Spaceport, which now includes satellite manufacturing, in what is the most advanced satellite manufacturing facility in the world, significantly changes the landscape of the aerospace industry in Florida. Welcome to the neighborhood, OneWeb Satellites. We look forward to your success here in Florida.”
