› Foxtail Coffee exec ousted after sexual harassment accusations from former employee
Central Florida coffee chain Foxtail has accepted the resignation of its chief operating officer David Sievers after a woman said she was fired for making a sexual harassment complaint against him.
› Pinellas County cleanup nets nearly 1K tons of red tide debris
Pinellas County has 13 boats collecting dead fish and conducting monitoring activities in local passes and intracoastal waterways. In addition, the county also deployed four beach rakes, four loaders, five all-terrain vehicles, one lift operator and 22 temporary laborers to clear local beaches and shorelines affected by red tide.
› State Supreme Court rules last three disputed amendments will stay on the ballot
The ballot is set: Floridians will indeed vote on 12 amendments come November, after a final challenge to three proposed amendments was definitively struck down Wednesday by the state’s highest court.
› Knight Foundation invests $1M in Venture Café Miami
The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation will grant Venture Café Miami with $1 million over a three-year period to help it expand. The new funding will enable the nonprofit, which hosts weekly networking events for innovators and provides resources for startups, to broaden its programming geographically.
