The pushback against Gov. Rick Scott’s effort to create a health care transparency website appears to be more widespread than state officials previously acknowledged. In lieu of expanding Medicaid, Scott said he would help uninsured Floridians by working to lower the cost of health care and touted increased transparency as a key way to do that. Flu season starting to impact parts of Florida
Fall just began, but flu season is already off to a strong start. Tampa Bay area hospitals reported only a handful of flu cases, but Orlando saw a big increase last week.
