What you need to know about Florida today
Florida gearing up to revise state constitution
Once every 20 years Florida convenes a Constitution Revision Commission to recommend changes to the constitution for voters to consider. Commissioners will meet again in 2017 and 18 legal, political and voting rights groups have banded together to get people talking about what they would like included in the constitution. Florida newspaper to Rubio: Do your job or resign
The Sun- Sentinel, one of the highest-circulation newspapers in Florida, is calling on Sen. Marco Rubio to resign because he’s missed many votes while seeking the GOP presidential nomination. King tides washing into flood-prone South Florida areas
The annual king tide will likely make things a little more soggy for low-lying areas along Florida's southeastern coastline. The problematic high tides are expected to continue at least through Wednesday night. More from CBS Miami and the AP.
Study shows more extensive coral damage related to BP spill
Gulf coral damage from the massive BP oil spill is more extensive than previously thought, according to a new study that revealed sick and dying corals in the rich, deep-water environment off the coasts of Alabama and Mississippi known as the Pinnacles. More at the AP.
Nipro Diagnostics to be acquired by Chinese manufacturer for $273 million
Nipro Diagnostics, a maker of diabetic testing supplies in Fort Lauderdale that employs 440 local workers, has agreed to be acquired by China-based Sinocare for $273 million in cash. More at the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Florida Chick-fil-A's promotion goes viral
A St. Pete Beach Chick-fil-A restaurant got more than it bargained for after using Facebook to announce an all-you-can-eat chicken nugget deal. The problem: The promotion is only at the St. Pete Beach location, and a picture advertising the event had more than 100,000 Facebook shares.
