Fear of Florida hurricanes blows over

A hurricane hasn’t made landfall in Florida in almost 3,600 days. That nearly 10-year drought, perhaps combined with forecasts of a quiet Atlantic hurricane season, has many Florida residents feeling dangerously safe. More at the Fort Myers News-Press.

Florida Trend wins national and state business publication awards

The Florida Magazine Association (FMA) and the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) have honored Florida Trend recently. Over the weekend, Florida Trend took home four awards, including Best Overall Magazine.
