Treasury moves against 'inversion' deals

The Treasury Department announced new rules, effective immediately, that will reduce the tax benefits available to companies that have inverted, while also making new inversions more difficult to do and less potentially rewarding. More at Reuters and Forbes.


Tumultuous search for FSU president comes to end

Florida State University's tumultuous search for a new president is expected to come to an end. The FSU board is scheduled on Tuesday to pick a new leader from a group of finalists that includes powerful state Sen. John Thrasher. More at the Sarasota Herald Tribune and the Miami Herald.
