Florida ranks low for local tax fairness

Many people think Florida’s lack of state income tax is unfair, according to a survey released Monday from WalletHub. The survey ranked Florida 46th in the nation for local and state tax fairness, using results from conservatives and liberals alike. Two highlights from the report:

  • Top 10 states where the top 1% are most UNDER taxed
    Florida ranks #4 on this list
  • Top 10 states where the poor (bottom 20%) are most OVER taxed
    Florida ranks #3 on this list
