Putting aside regional differences, the school boards of Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties are uniting to lobby state lawmakers for more funding. Board members say they will ask parents and local officials to flood legislators with letters and e-mails demanding help to offset skyrocketing costs associated with school construction, hurricane damage and teacher shortages.
