» In his second promotion in the last six months, John Bell assumes the newly created position of executive vice president at Trammell Crow's Miami office.

» After a 35-year tenure, Donald Ross has retired as president of Lynn University in Boca Raton. Ross transformed the financially troubled women's junior college, which used to be called Marymount College, into a four-year university with 25 majors and 8,750 students. Ross was paid $5 million in 2003-04, making him the highest paid university president in the nation, but $4.5 million was allocated for his retirement account, which went unfunded for many years, according to the university.
