» Dr. Wilfred McKenzie was named chief of staff at Broward General Medical Center. McKenzie, who also teaches at Nova Southeastern University School of Osteopathic Medicine, was most recently the hospital's vice chief of staff.

» Xavier Martinez was named vice president for business development at Fiduciary Trust International of the South in Miami. He was an associate at Podhurst Orseck P.A. law firm.

» Tenet Healthcare tapped Ralph A. Aleman as vice president for its hospital network facilities in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Aleman had been CEO of Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah. Tenet also named Mitch Felman, who was CEO of its Delray Medical Center in Delray Beach, as vice president for its Palm Beach County facilities.

» Barron's magazine has recognized Kurt Sylvia of Wachovia Securities as one of the top 100 financial advisers in the U.S. Sylvia is the only financial adviser in Palm Beach County to receive the recognition this year.
