? Michael Mayo is the new CEO of the 230-bed Orange Park Medical Center. Before accepting the Orange Park job, Mayo ran a medical center in Frankfort, Ky., and had served as senior vice president and COO of Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville and vice president of Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville.

? Mayor John Peyton appointed Dave Auchter, vice president of Auchter Co., attorney Craig Gibbs, Clarence Gooden, executive vice president and chief commercial officer of CSX Corp., and Randle Shoemaker, vice president and senior counsel of Regency Centers Corp., to the Jacksonville Economic Development Commission.

? Landstar System Executive Vice President and CFO Robert LaRose plans to retire in 2007. James Gattoni, Landstar's corporate controller, will replace LaRose as CFO.
