Bascom Palmer Eye Institute recently opened a 7.4-acre campus in Palm Beach Gardens, tripling the size of its former facility. The new campus includes the Maltz Center, a 40,000-sq.-ft. patient care medical offi ce building, and the Frankino Pavilion at the Bascom Palmer Surgery Center, a 10,000-sq.-ft. ambulatory surgery center. ? Kolter Communities won seven awards at the 2006 PRISM Awards, a competition sponsored by the Gold Coast Builders Association. The honors were for the developer's southeast Florida communities: Domani in North Palm Beach, San Matera The Gardens and San Merano at Mirasol in Palm Beach Gardens. ? Construction is under way on Mei, a 21-story Miami Beach luxury condominium with 134 residences whose co-developers are Mitchell Schneiderman and Kevin Maloney, principals of PMG Collins LLC, and local developer Bruce M. Goldstein of Hollywood. Completion is expected in fall 2007. ? Fort Lauderdale-based Weitzer Communities has begun construction on Villa Alhambra, a four-story complex with 35 residences in downtown Coral Gables. The development recently received city approval. ? Sales are under way for Pembroke Park Place, an affordably priced condominium community in Pembroke Park. The complex will comprise three midrise residential buildings with 168 units. ? Toll Brothers recently introduced Jupiter Country Club, a 480-acre community with an 18-hole Greg Norman signature golf course as its centerpiece. The Jupiter development will have 362 single-family luxury homes and 166 two- and three-story townhomes.

A crowd cheered and took photos as two loggerhead sea turtles slowly made their way through the sand and into the Atlantic Ocean. Monday's turtle release marked the end of their rehabilitation at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach, Florida.
