? The St. Johns County Commission appointed Waldemar Kropacek interim county manager.

? Margo Smith is the new CFO for the Jacksonville Transportation Authority.

? The Plantation at Ponte Vedra named Walther Vliegen general manager and COO.

? Rudolph Porter was selected to head Jacksonville's Faith and Community-Based Partnership Office.

? Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida executive Mike Hightower was re-elected chairman of the local Republican Party.

? Cleve E. Warren, president and CEO of Essential Capital, was named chairman of the Jacksonville Transportation Authority's board of directors.

? Phil Tufano, general manager of the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront, was selected president of the Jacksonville Hotel & Motel Association.
