› Lake Nona public artwork up for international design award
Several works of public art in Florida, including Lake Nona’s Pixon building, are among 100 projects up for recognition in the international CODAawards, which celebrate places that integrate artful design work into interiors, architecture or public spaces. This year’s award entries represent $477 in commission fees and projects from 30 countries. Sunshine State public artworks under consideration are in Tampa, Alys Beach, Orlando and Miami.

Disney is scrambling to recruit new housekeepers and kitchen staff at its Florida site, as the labor shortage continues to impact businesses across the US. In an attempt to address the issue, the world's biggest theme-park operator is offering $1,000 sign-on bonuses to attract workers, according to the company's website.
› New biker-themed venue opens in Clearwater
Calling all motorcycle lovers. A combination restaurant, museum and Harley Davidson dealership opened in Clearwater this weekend, with the hopes of bringing the quintessential biker experience to Tampa Bay. The OCC Road House & Museum sells food and booze in an indoor-outdoor space.
› Red Lobster’s longtime leader Kim Lopdrup to retire
Kim Lopdrup plans to retire from his role as CEO of Orlando-based Red Lobster once a successor is in place. The search is underway for his replacement and is being conducted by The Elliot Group, according to a news release.
