Florida's private-sector job growth down 31 percent over year ago

Florida added 13,500 private-sector jobs in June, according to payroll firm ADP on Wednesday. That's down 31 percent from 19,600 in June a year ago. But a one-month decline doesn't alarm some economists because Florida has been outpacing national job growth since May 2012. See the ADP Regional Employment Report®, here. Visit Florida takes aim at luring more Canadians

Unclaimed property program returns $313 million to Florida residents

Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis announced Tuesday that the Florida Division of Unclaimed Property returned $313 million during the 2016-2017 fiscal year, the highest figure in the program’s history.
