Updates on Hurricane Matthew for Florida business
From Friday, Oct. 7:
- Here's the 11a.m.EDT update from the National Hurricane Center on Matthew. New watches/warnings issued. All watches and warnings cancelled in Tampa Bay.
- Gov. Rick Scott denies MDX's request to resume tolling on Miami-Dade roads
- FPL: 516,930 customers currently without power (10:00 am on Friday). But they are working hard and have just reported that, in Palm Beach County, FPL says power is back for most today, virtually all by Saturday.

- Power outages across the First Coast due to Hurricane Matthew

Matthew hammers Florida, begins dayslong beating of coast
Hurricane Matthew's howling wind and driving rain pummeled Florida early Friday, starting what's expected to be a ruinous, dayslong battering of the Southeast coast. The strongest winds of 120 mph were just offshore, but Matthew's wrath still menaced more than 500 miles of coastline.
