Cheney Brothers Finds Distribution Solutions in Florida

PUNTA GORDA – Cheney Brothers recently opened its fifth Florida facility, a new food distribution center in Punta Gorda. The new 250,000-sq.-ft. facility will provide a closer distribution center to customers in southwest Florida and has already created more than 380 jobs for Florida families. The privately owned Florida company also has locations in Riviera Beach, Ocala, Orlando and Miami. Cheney Brothers depends on Florida’s extensive multimodal infrastructure, including more than 122,000 miles of highway, to make deliveries.

We chose to open our new facility on the west coast of Florida because of the surge in business we have experienced over the past five years. Southwest Florida has three of the top 20 faster-growing metro areas in the United States. With that growth come new restaurants and the need to provide our current customers better service.
