AdventHealth has branched out into real estate development, taking on a "co-creator" role at Wyld Oaks, a 215-acre master-planned community in Apopka that broke ground in 2024. The Altamonte Springs-based health care system will anchor a health village and medical campus that will include a freestanding emergency room and 20,000 square feet of Class A medical office space.
"We look forward to bringing world-class, whole-person care to the Wyld Oaks community," says Kari Vargas, CEO of AdventHealth's Central Florida Division – North Market. "It's our goal to provide convenient care close to home for residents across west Orange County."
When fully built out, Wyld Oaks will feature 6,000 residential units, 280,000 square feet of retail space, two hotels and 1.5 million square feet of land for industrial use; it's projected to generate $2.2 million to $3.9 million annually in property tax revenue for Apopka and contribute more than $47 million in impact fees for regional infrastructure improvements.
