Gov. Scott to unveil proposed 2012 budget
Florida Gov. Rick Scott is rolling out his proposed budget for 2012. Scott will officially announce his spending recommendations for the coming year this afternoon. State lawmakers will use the governor's recommendations as a building block for next year's budget. Scott plans to ask legislators to increase spending on public schools, but he will likely propose cuts in other parts of the budget. Scott also wants to set aside some money for tax cuts. Jacksonville entrepreneur makes dollars with scents
Kim Spadaro calls her flagship fragrance Noche del Fuego, or Night of Fire. Her inspiration, she said, was a trip to Majorica, Spain. And she tried to capture that feeling by mixing aromatic oils.
Spadaro, who lives with her husband, Carl, on the river off San Jose Boulevard, launched her own line of fragrances two months ago.

Visit Florida ad changes could affect Miles Media
Florida's tourism agency has hired a new lead ad firm to market the state, a move that could alter its 14-year relationship with Miles Media Group of Lakewood Ranch.
Visit Florida has been Miles Media's single largest client since 1997, when the company was retained to create the tourism promoter's first website.
The state agency announced Tuesday it has selected SapientNitro, a 36-office, international firm that counts Burger King, Marriott and Coca-Cola among its clients, as its lead agency of record.
