Three events: Seven Days Festival, Northeast Florida Scottish Games & Festival and Miami Boat Show

From Comics to Acrobats
Florida State University's "Seven Days of Opening Nights" is a festival of the performing arts with an eclectic lineup highlighting music, theater, dance and the visual arts and now stretching well beyond the original "seven days" at its launch in 1999. This year's roster of guest performers includes comic Joan Rivers, the National Theatre of Scotland, the Soweto Gospel Choir and 2010 Pulitzer Prize for fiction winner Jennifer Egan. Northeast Florida Scottish Games & Festival

Scottish Celebration
The 17th annual Northeast Florida Scottish Games & Festival is scheduled for Feb. 25, with Scottish athletic and dancing competitions, bagpipes and drums, a whisky tasting, a Scottish and import beer festival and more. The festival is from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Clay County Fairgrounds in Green Cove Springs.

MIAMI/MIAMI BEACH
Boat Lover's Dream
Boats of all kinds descend on Miami Beach and Miami Feb. 16-20. The main event is the Miami International Boat Show at the Miami Beach Convention Center. At Miami's Bayside Marine, Strictly Sail focuses on sailboats. And in northern Miami Beach, the 24th annual Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show will bring some 500 boats to the area's waterways.
