» Orlando Magic CEO Bob Vander Weide resigned in a corporate shakeup. President Alex Martins was promoted to succeed him as CEO, and more than a dozen staff positions were eliminated.
» Griff Salmon was appointed executive vice president and COO of Orlando-based Enterprise Florida.
» Brian Watson, an associate with the Broad and Cassel law firm, was elected 2012 chairman of the board for the East Orlando Chamber of Commerce.
» Former Orange County Mayor Linda Chapin, Orlando Magic co-founder Jimmy Hewitt and the late real estate investor Hy Lake were inducted into Junior Achievement of Central Florida's Mid-Florida Business Hall of Fame.
