› Recent influx of call center jobs to Tampa brings promise of bigger things

› Women's work: Saving for a future
Sandra Tobon practices what she preaches: She saves for retirement and a rainy day. As a financial coach for the Hollywood-based Hispanic Unity of Florida, Tobon knows how important it is for women to budget and save so they can have a comfortable retirement. Tobon's mother lives with her part of the year because she never saved. "She never thought about the future," said Tobon, who teaches finance at Hispanic Unity's Center for Working Families. "We need to change that mentality."

› Tallahassee tax cuts put squeeze on cities

› South Florida pups ready for the Super Bowl of dog shows

The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, which runs for two days beginning Monday in Manhattan's Madison Square Garden, has top-flight canine competitors groomed for action from all over the world, including South Florida.

› Builders show home: Green features in modernist bones
