» Mark B. Rosenberg takes over as president of Florida International University, replacing the retiring Modesto “Mitch” Maidique. Rosenberg was Florida’s chancellor of higher education from 2005 until February and was provost of FIU before that.

» MTV Networks CFO Juan Carlos Acosta was named senior vice president.

» Howard Taft became senior managing director of the Aztec Group real estate investment firm. He had been managing director of Cohen Financial’s Miami office.

» David Pollack was named COO of Molina Healthcare of Florida. He was a vice president at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
