Things will look a little brighter, wintry and nostalgic at Busch Gardens Tampa this coming holiday season. The park announced Thursday that it will create a separate ticketed event called Christmas Town to lure after-hours visitors with seasonal sights, sounds and flavors.

Palm Beach County Zoning Commissioners voted today to allow construction on Florida's first wind turbine farm near Belle Glade.

› South Florida bankruptcies fall 4 percent in February
Bankruptcy petitions filed by South Florida individuals fell by 4.26 percent in February, according to data released Thursday from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Miami. Fewer filings are more a reflection of foreclosures bogged down in the South Florida courts than fewer residents needing bankruptcy protection, say bankruptcy lawyers in the region

› New Miami trolley goes live, wins thumbs up from inaugural riders

› Tampa's Hard Rock casino to hold job fair to hire 400 new employees
The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino has scheduled a job fair to hire more than 400 people as part of its previously announced $75 million expansion, scheduled to open early in the summer. The job fair will be at the Florida State Fairgrounds near the Hard Rock on April 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Job applicants must apply online in advance at www.jobsforflorida.com.
