Jacksonville-based Fanatics was founded by brothers Alan (now CEO) and Mitchell Trager in 1995 to sell Jacksonville Jaguars merchandise. The company was acquired by GSI Commerce in March 2011, then acquired by eBay, then spun off as a separate business owned by Kynetic. This spring, Fanatics announced an agreement to acquire all shares of Plantation-based Dreams, another sports products retailer, for $183 million.

“We are bringing together two of the most passionate management teams in licensed sports products,” says Alan Trager.
