Florida's home insurance cost hikes slowed at the end of 2023. Some say the crisis may be nearing its end

Home insurance rates in Florida far outpaced inflation over the 18 months that ended on Dec. 31, but the rate of increase slowed in the fourth quarter of 2023 to its lowest point of the period. Florida gas prices just took a dive. Will they go even lower?

Florida gas prices have dropped from last week. Miami saw more than a 10-cent decrease at the pump on Monday, with prices averaging $3.52 a gallon, and statewide prices are down about 13 cents. Judge: Orlando Museum of Art can redact Basquiat report in lawsuit

A judge has ruled that Orlando Museum of Art does not have to make public a full accounting of its internal investigation into the Basquiat scandal, court records show. Instead, the museum will be able to release a redacted version of the report, which critics of the museum have been asking to see for more than a year, as part of its ongoing litigation. The paper, co-authored with three other professors, had to do with the impact of algae blooms and depletion of coral reefs on the region's tourism industry.
