› Florida officials fight back against rowdy spring breakers
Rowdy spring break crowds have forced curfews and led some establishments to close their doors from Miami Beach to Florida’s Panhandle. Law enforcement officials in Bay County, Florida, said Sunday that they won’t tolerate the bad behavior from spring breakers after a 21-year-old from Alabama was shot in the foot Sunday during a shooting in Panama City Beach.

› Sarasota County named as best retirement spot in Florida
Buyers and sellers of real estate alike—when asked what are the three most essential considerations about a property—will nearly always reply “location, location, location.” While this answer is sometimes tongue-in-cheek, it is often quite accurate, and this reply perhaps applies to retirees more than any other demographic. › Mediterranean Shipping Co. adding JaxPort to Caribbean container service
Mediterranean Shipping Co. will start weekly Caribbean container service at Blount Island Marine Terminal in April. JaxPort CEO Eric Green announced the new service March 28 at the port authority’s board meeting. The addition will connect Jacksonville to hubs in the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas, JaxPort said in a news release.

› Tourism agency expands leadership team with two executive hires
Visit Tampa Bay, the destination marketing organization for Tampa and Hillsborough County, has welcomed Eric Davis and Aislinn Stone to its executive leadership team. Davis, according to a news release, has been named vice president of finance, while Stone will serve as director of partner development. Stone has more than a decade of experience in corporate giving and project management roles. She most recently served as the Hillsborough County Commission cultural affairs officer.
