Consumer sentiment rebounds to near-record levels in February

Consumer sentiment among Floridians increased 2.8 points in February to 100.9 from a revised figure of 98.1 in January. Similarly, the University of Michigan’s nationwide index of consumer sentiment increased in February. These strong levels of confidence have not been seen since January 2018, when consumer sentiment reached 101.3 points. More from UF News.

Florida beach is again named best beach in America by TripAdvisor

Warm Mineral Springs Park could cost $18.9 million

It could cost $18.9 million to develop Warm Mineral Springs Park, according to a draft master plan consultant Kimley-Horn & Associates will present at 6 p.m. Tuesday, to the North Port City Commission. That figure is almost double the original projections to restore the three buildings, which city officials hope will be placed on the National Historic Register. Silicon Valley firm to buy Tampa’s ConnectWise, making millionaires out of scores of its employees

Monday was a day of highs and lows at home-grown software company ConnectWise. The good news: ConnectWise announced it is being bought by a Silicon Valley private equity firm in a deal expected to create 300 new local jobs in coming years and pay $270 million to about 1,000 employees.  Rumor has it that WrestleMania, World Wrestling Entertainment’s showcase event, is coming to Tampa. Various wrestling-related websites and Twitter accounts have pegged Raymond James Stadium as the venue and April 5, 2020 as the date.
