Three months after Gov. Rick Scott stood in Miami Beach and declared that the Zika virus was no longer spreading in Florida, mosquito control experts are warning people not to be complacent. Zika could come back.
› Groups call for equal pay for women in Florida
Women from a number of different groups spoke in favor of state bills requiring equal pay for women at a press conference at Orlando City Hall on Tuesday. The bill, one of which was co-sponsored by state Sen. Linda Stewart, D-Orlando, would ban employers from paying workers differently based on sex or gender identity.

LIFT Orlando, in partnership with developer Columbia Residential, has secured more than $36 million in financing through a deal that includes a major equity investment from SunTrust Community Capital.
› South Florida credit unions plan to merge
South Florida’s Tropical Financial Credit Union and Financial Federal Credit Union plan to merge, according to a letter of intent signed by both institutions’ boards of directors. If the transaction goes through, Financial Federal’s members would become Tropical Financial members.
