Metro Orlando hoteliers could expect increased revenue, decreased occupancy

Metro Orlando hoteliers will see the region’s hotel supply increase in the next two years and occupancy remain relatively flat, according to STR, which globally tracks the hotel industry. More from the Orlando Sentinel.

Tampa-Cuba flights doing well as other cities cut back service to the island

Total passengers using Tampa International Airport to fly to and from Cuba is growing to the point that more flights may be added. "Tampa is a strong market," said Mark Elias, president of charter operator Havana Air, who hopes to receive landing rights from the Cuban government within the next month. Miami-Dade’s rents are so high, they are quadruple what renters in other cities pay

When it comes to renting, Miami remains among the nation’s top 10 most expensive cities. Miami-Dade ranked ninth in the nation for the steepest rents at an average of $1,800 for a one-bedroom dwelling and $2,500 for a two-bedroom. More from the Miami Herald.
