› Miami may try bacteria-infected mosquitoes in Zika fight
Officials in Miami trying to stop the outbreak of Zika are exploring the use of mosquitoes infected with bacteria that inhibit the insects' ability to transmit the virus.

› King tide and powerful supermoon likely to trigger flooding across South Florida
Break out the waders. On Monday, a seasonal king tide powered by the largest supermoon in nearly seven decades is expected to trigger flooding up and down the South Florida coast.

› Orlando companies continue to see stock gains
Stocks for many companies with an Orlando presence showed gains in the three days following Donald Trump’s win. One of the biggest movers in local companies was defense contractor Lockheed Martin, whose three-day gain after the election was 7.7 percent.

› Cross-Tampa-Bay Ferry sees strong ridership in first weekend
There were seven round trips during its first weekend of service Nov. 4-6, officials said, selling more than 70 percent of the seats. The ferry can carry 149 passengers, and nearly half the one-way trips sold at least 90 percent of the available inventory.
