› Iconic Jaxson’s Ice Cream Parlour in Dania turns 60
Linda Udell Zakheim hadn't been born yet when her father opened Jaxson's Ice Cream Parlour and Restaurant in 1956. As Jaxson's reaches its 60th anniversary this November, Zakheim is at the helm.

› Sarasota affordable housing project scaled back
Harvey Vengroff's affordable housing project is being scaled back slightly as final site plans work their way through the city approval process for the property on Fruitville Road just east of of downtown.

› New photos show HBO’s ‘Ballers’ has left Miami
HBO received a tax credit of $3.8 million on expenditures of $19.2 million for the first season of “Ballers,” which was filmed in 2014. Final figures for the second season, shot in 2015, are not yet available.

› Carnival will home port a second cruise ship in Port Tampa Bay in 2018
Carnival Cruise Line will add a second ship that will sail year round from Port Tampa Bay. The Carnival Miracle will offer seven-day Caribbean cruises beginning in January 2018.
