› South Florida company inks 13th acquisition of 2016
Mednax Inc. continued on its rapid pace of acquisitions this week. The Sunrise-based company on Thursday announced its 13th acquisition of 2016 with the buyout of Central New York Anesthesia Group.

› Port Canaveral commissioners reject request to hold seafood fest
Port Canaveral commissioners have rejected a request by event promoter Brevard Productions Inc. to hold a three-day seafood festival next February in the port's Cove area.

› Mimes will return to SeaWorld for Christmas
SeaWorld Orlando will bring back its popular mime act for a seasonal Christmas stint. Three mimes will perform in the "Clyde and Seamore's Countdown to Christmas" show.

› IKEA to break ground for fifth Florida store in Jacksonville
IKEA, the world’s leading home furnishings retailer, will break ground on Nov. 3, 2016, on its future Jacksonville store. The 290,000 square-foot store opens Fall 2017 on 25-acres along the northwestern corner of Interstate 295 and Gate Parkway, and will employ 250 coworkers.
